Concrete Driveways, Sidewalks, Steps and Garage Floors
If you’re not looking for decorative stamped concrete, then you’re in the right place! When we’re not pouring awesome patios and walkways, we handle tons of concrete flatwork for homes and businesses throughout the area.
Concrete doesn’t always need to be decorative. This type of concrete is practical for pool decks, driveways & aprons, sidewalks & walkways, garage floors, sheds, HVAC & mechanical equipment, dumpster pads, hot tub pads and more! Give us a call to discuss your project or ideas.
Shed Pads, Garage Floors and Concrete Finishes
Broom finish is easily the most popular finish we pour for driveways, sidewalks and steps. It gives you solid grip in rain and snow, and broom-finished concrete typically starts around $15 per square foot.
Built for How You'll Use It
- Driveways and aprons are built to carry the weight of your vehicles.
- Garage floors get a smooth finish that's easy to sweep and keep clean.
- Shed and hot tub pads sit on a compacted stone base so they stay level for years.
- Sidewalks, steps and stoops get a broom finish for grip and are graded so water runs off instead of pooling.

How much does a concrete driveway or slab cost?
Broom-finished concrete typically starts around $15 per square foot. Your price depends on the size, the thickness, site access and how much prep the ground needs, and every estimate is itemized.
How thick should a concrete slab be?
Most patios, sidewalks and shed pads are poured 4 inches thick on 2 to 3 inches of compacted crushed stone. Anything heavier, like a driveway or a hot tub pad, gets sized to the load, and the thickness is spelled out in your estimate.
Do you use rebar in your concrete?
Yes. We reinforce our slabs with fiberglass rebar instead of steel. It won’t rust, so it holds up to salt and harsh Northeast winters.
Why does concrete crack, and can you prevent it?
Concrete shrinks as it cures, so some cracking is normal. We control where it happens by cutting joints at the right spacing, compacting the base and keeping the mix consistent. A slab poured on a soft or wet base is the one that cracks where you do not want it.
How long before I can drive on a new driveway?
Keep cars off for at least 7 days and heavy trucks off for 28 days. Foot traffic is fine after 24 to 48 hours. Cool weather slows the cure, so we give you a schedule the day of the pour.
What finish should I choose?
Broom finish is the standard for driveways, walkways and pool decks because it gives traction when wet. A smooth trowel finish is for garage floors and interior slabs. We walk you through the options on site.
